We were approved! Waiting to see if my husband will send me the questions in written form. He was so excited and talking fast and I was driving when he called so I didn't catch everything. I know he said most of them were not what we practiced and centered around his son and the son's mother! He was in interview about 15 minutes because computer system was down.

They said visa issue would be about 2 weeks. I pray that this is just standard estimate because if it's not issued by Feb 21, this approval is worthless. I told husband to say we need visa in 3 to 7 days but I don't know that he did.

Yeah 2 weeks sounds like a standard, I wonder though if its ready in 2 weeks or issued in 2 weeks. It could be issued sooner, but they have to make it ready for pickup etc. (every embassy being different), as long as it's issued soon will be good.

My husband's friends took him to celebrate so I didn't get to speak with him but a brief second so here is an "incomplete" review from what I heard this morning.
He arrived at 7:30.
He did his biometrics.
waited about 3 hours to be called.
Was interviewed by a male.
Who petitioned for you?
How did you meet?
When did you begin dating?
When did you meet in person?
What happened with relationship to son's mom?
Why are you not taking son to America?
Are you on wife's last income taxes?
My husband said he kept offering the interviewer documents but he didn't need them. Interviewer did look at pictures and was happy that I took some with husband's family.

Congratulations! Just to calm your nerves if they didnt need any extra documentation submitted that you didnt have and he was told he was aproved it seems two weeks is standard process and most people get issued their visa we within a day or two! No wahala! You should escape ban!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
