Embassy Review : |
Our interview experience was fine. The officer interviewed me first (US citizen) and then my husband with me present. Originally, my husband stayed out front to wait for our lawyer, who was late. We were asked the normal questions of how did you meet, what was the early parts of your relationship, etc. We had plenty of evidence to show our relationship - combined bank statements, a combined auto loan, combined credit cards, same address, pictures from various trips we had taken together both before and after the marriage. Unfortunately, at the end of the interview we discovered that we needed an updated medical exam since these are only good for 12 months and it had been 13 months from the time of the NOA1 to the date of the interview. This is a HUGE mistake on the part of the lawyer - we could have easily gotten a new medical done as soon as the old one expired. Now we have to go through a RFE, new medical and probably several more months delay in this process. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
