Consulate Review: Tokyo, Japan
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 14, 2016
Embassy Review : Fiance was in and out in less than 2 hours. She said there was not many people there and the interviewer seemed like he just wanted to get it over with.

I supplied chat logs, photographs, tax returns, and paystubs from my company and they didn't even look at it. In fact the person that checked her documents in the beginning didn't even take them apparently.

She was asked the following questions:

1. Where did you guys meet?
2. What does he do for work?
3. When's the last time you guys saw each other?
4. Why did you guys decide to get married so quickly?

And after that he said she was approved.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: San Francisco
Event Description
Entry Date : 2017-01-02
Embassy Review : I went with my fiance through immigration together. At the end the line split into two sides. On one side I noticed one of the officers was being really aggressive and kind of power tripping a helpless man struggling with English. We decided to go to the opposite side.

We were met by an extremely friendly officer who was asking us very basic questions and telling us how he was surprised how quickly the whole process was for us. He gave us the basic information about how the visa is one time use etc and congratulated us.

Very smooth process.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
