On December 22nd, I made a request to expedite my EAD because of a job offer. On January 5th, there was still no response, and we contacted a Senator. I called USCIS almost daily until I was finally told that my EAD was approved. |

Very friendly guards and officers at this consulate! Strict security measures, but the friendly guards made it all go very smoothly, and even wished everyone good luck with their interview.
Phones are allowed inside the building now, but no larger electronic devices. The guards ask you to show them your phone and make sure the bluetooth is switched off.
I was inside the building for about an hour. I got called to the first window after waiting for 10 minutes, handed over all my paperwork and was told to sit down again. 15 minutes later I was called to another window for the interview. If you have a genuine relationship, you have nothing to worry about. It is just a friendly conversation about how you met, your jobs, the time you spent together, etc. The officer showed me some of the pictures from my file and asked me where they were taken and who were in the pictures. Then she handed all the pictures to me, so I was getting ready to answer a lot more questions about the pictures. But it turned out that she was just giving them back to me, because they did not need to remain in the file. She said she was issuing the visa, and told me to go home and call my fiancé! javascript:emoticon('') |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
