Event Description
Review Date : October 17, 2016
Embassy Review : Had an appointment for 8:15am. Arrived around 8am and got through security within 5 minutes. Waited in the lobby for about 15 minutes, after which we were called in.
IO was a middle-aged blonde woman. After swearing us in, she asked for our IDs. She corrected the address that was on the petition (we had since moved and filed a change of address), asked why we moved and how much rent we paid.
She then asked to see my old passports and verified all my previous visas and entry stamps. She asked about my current job situation, and then my spouse's (while also checking for his I864). She then checked whether she had my medical stuff (which she did), and asked whether we had evidence of our relationship. We didn't have our album yet, but I printed out a blog post our photographer wrote about our wedding with plenty of pictures in it. I also gave her another personal document of which I have multiple copies.
And that was it. She asked if we had more to give to her, but then said it was sufficient for her. She then explained what would happen next (conditional GC, etc).
The IO was a bit curt, especially in the beginning, but not unpleasant. She seemed to like the photos/personal items I gave her. Overall, a good experience.
It's been a few hours, and my case status on USCIS reads "Card in Production". Yay!
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
