Comments : No interview, No RFE. No Emails too, lols.

My biometric appointment showed single name and had to change it during my appointment on January 17. Also, the manager told me I am waived for an interview. Three days later, case status changed to Name is Updated but dated the same date with my bio.

Jumped from Name is Updated to New Card is Being Produced on March 04. I didn't receive any Email that my case was approved. Or any Welcoming email like the things I've read when I searched it online.

This afternoon, case status changed to Card Was Mailed To Me dated March 08. Tonight (March 9), I went outside to smoke and our of curiousity, I opened our mailbox and found my Green Card in the mail. Lol. I am super surprised with the process of my AOS. Good luck everyone!

Comments : This is a second N-400 application based on 5-years residency in the USA. The first application was 12/04/2019 based on marriage and I withdrew from it due to divorce being finalized on 06/02/2020. I withdrew the application on 05/30/22 during my interview. I tried to cancel the interview via letter and phone calls without success. (Haha)

For this application, Interview was yesterday (02/02/2023) at 03:15pm. I arrived at 02:45pm in Philadelphia USCIS.

It was 1hour 15 minutes long interview but more of a friendly conversation.

Questions asked and my answers were:

IO: Why did you get divorced?

Me: He wasn’t happy. I wasn’t happy. Why put up with a relationship that gives you depression, loneliness and anxiety? Too many differences and too many arguments.

IO: Did he divorce you or did you divorce him?

Me: He divorced me. I agreed to it. It was a 3-month quick divorce process.

IO: What did you get out of the divorce?

Me: Like property and such?

IO: Yes

Me: More of what HE got. He wanted the house that I paid for and everything in it. I wrote an affidavit stating my name is off the property, filed it at the registry after. He got the riding lawn mower, the snow blower, the speakers, appliances, furnitures, everything.

IO: And you let him took it all?

Me: Hmmm. I took the car. Haha

After the divorce topic, we talked about the Philippines. My family. My plans. Then places I have been. Works Ive had and what my current job is. (FYI: I WAS WEARING A SCRUB, with my name and RN logo on it. I thought it will help my case. Haha! Guess it did!)

Then we moved on with the test: 6 questions were:

What does the cabinet do?
Name 3 original colonies.
What are two ways that Americans can participate in their democracy?
What is one promise you make when you become a United States citizen?
Under our Constitution, some powers belong to the states. What is one power of the states?

Followed by reading: Who lived in the united states first?

And writing: American Indians lived in the United States first.

And more friendly conversation afterwards. He congratulated me after changing my name to my maiden name.

Case Status changed to Oath was scheduled after the interview. :)

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
