Husband arrived at Fort Lauderdale. No questions asked. Officer took package and took him to a small room. After reviewing it, they gave him back his passport and said " Welcome to the United States".
He got his Social Security card 2 weeks later. His Green Card came a month after arriving.

Embassy Review : |
Our interview eas on Jan 31st, 2017 at 10 am. We got to the embassy at 9:00am and there was a pretty big line outside. We got through the security checkpoint and went inside to the patio and then in to the other building. Once inside we got our number (284). My husband got in line to turn in documents while I had to sit down and wait. Once he got called he handed in the original birth, marriage and police certificates, the envelope with the medical exam results and his passport. Then it was a waiting game again. While we waited for our interview we were watching people's reactions after their interviews...some were happy faces and some were not. Needless to say we were very nervous but prepared for any questions that may arise.
Finally after waiting almost 1:30hr we got called for our interview in station 1. The interviewer was a young man. He took my husband's fingerprints and swore him in. This was our interview:
-How did you meet? "Online"
-On a website? "Yes"
- What's the name of the website? "Tagged"
After that he reviewed all documents on our file.
-Have you ever had problems with the police? "Never"
After that the interviewer put my husband's passport inside the folder, put a rubber band around it, signed the top page, and stamped it.
Then he said "Your visa has been approved." We smiled and kissed and left after receiving the instructions on how to track his passport for pickup.
I still can't believe he didn't ask me anything.
After just 2 days my husband picked up his passport and visa package at tthe VAC. He will be coming home soon and I couldn't be happier.
Embassy personnel was very courteous.
We're just happy this whole process is over. |

After reviewing the package they stamped his passport and said "Welcome to the United States". We are very happy this process is finally over and we can be together without restrictions. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
