Interview expedite granted. Abu dhabi is otherwise 6 to 8 months after CC, I booked interview myself once case showed ready - some dates opened up under the 'ais' website. I hope no issues come up. Waiting for P4. |

Embassy Review : |
It was a less busy day at the embassy.
For Immigrant visas typically 20 groups/individuals are booked on one day. The documents submitting etc tends to take time. For instance i was number 15 on the day and it took 2hours 10 mins for my turn as there were some groups of 2 to 4 people before me and each persons' docs are collected and finger printing done.
I was last person in the embassy at about 11 when my turn came. Got asked a lot of questions:
Prev marriage, details on meeting husband, 1st meeting, second meeting, all other loads of meetings. On his occupation, his kids school name (bad shortterm memory didnt remember) their grades, wedding pictures, details of my and his prev marriage, my education, details of my education etc etc.
All okay in the end. Told ppt will arrive in 5 days.

Edited to add the second day my courier arrived at Empost with my visa stamped and sealed packet with a corner cut off. Ready to go now

Zero questions, except confirmation of address to send green card.
I had my kids with me on tourist visa. Again, just one question addressed directly to them - how many days for.
Doesn't get simpler than that! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
