Embassy Review : |
The 'interview' was more like a 3 minute conversation at a window (like at the bank, or at the DMV) while standing right next to other people doing the same thing at their own window.
The consulate was very busy, with at least 100 people in the waiting room. After the initial check in, there was a call to another window to review the required paperwork, then James was called up to a "window" and was asked a few questions...
- How did you meet Peter?
- How do you maintain a long distance relationship?
- What does Peter do for a living?
- What will you do for a living once in the US?
The clerk then said, okay, you're all approved. James was caught off guard (as he was so very nervous) so he asked if it was approved, and the clerk once again said, yes, you're all approved. And that was it - a 10 month long process culminated in a 3 minute conversation with a clerk. |

Timeline Comments: 2Thanks for keeping this updated. We've been about two weeks behind you for a lot of this, and it gives us a heads up on what's next!
Sounds good - glad I could help. This site is great, but I am just so ready to get this all over with - its been way too long now. Best of luck!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
