Embassy Review : |
These people are just very rude. The girl who answers the phone, will hang up on you, transfer you and generally tell you she can't even talk now and hang up. She doesn't care if you call from USA or where. She says she doesn't have papers and you are making mistake to call NVC. Then later you find your interview date is on the list at the Embassy? So they are very incompetent.
I will tell anyone who is having problems. I was at the Embassy and talked personally with Chris Rich - who seems to be in charge of this area for the the marriage and approval of the visas. Also another man, (who himself has attitude and rude) his name is Terry but I'm not sure his last name.
If you ever have problems getting in to the Embassy - just tell them you talked with Chris Rich or Terry in the consulate office, and they let you in immediately.
Also, if you have problems with the people hang up or lost your papers or treat you in a bad way, so just ask to talk to Supervisor, Chris Rich or Terry and they stop what they are doing and realize you know what you are talking about.
The particularly enjoy speaking rudely to anyone Egyptian. It's like they are fed up with them. However, if you speak English - and can do it well - she will talk a little more civil. I did a 3 way call with my husband on the phone at the same time to hear how she talks to him by Arabic, then I got in the coversation speaking English to her, and she immediately changed her tune!
She realized I'm American on the phone, and I told her I'm calling from America, so please hurry and don't put me on hold. So then she tries to transfer, and she is such a loser, she hangs up the phone. Intentional? Hmmmm.....well, I did leave a voice mail and email for both Chris and Terry about her attitude and how she treats people.
I also, spoke with them regarding the man at the door who is very rude and would not let my husband come in one time, unless I was with him. This really made me mad, so when I just went out of the Embassy (after getting a SMS from my husband) and came out to get him, with special note from Chris Rich to let him in....oh this man was really upset.
But my husband was the sweety as he always is and just smiled really genuinely happy and said thank you to this jerk at the door.
Plan on them losing some papers from you. Plan for them to treat you by bad ways. Plan on them ignoring you and being jealous. This is my only conclusion on their attitude. They must be jealous that they can't leave or they want to get away from this? They should just be happy to have a job!
That's all from me. We still have our interview coming up next month.
But we are prepared with our suit of armour!
Good luck everyone. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
