Comments : Hi everyone, I would like to share my interview experience in Kuwait US embassy. I got there arounnd 12pm, and my appointment is 1pm. I went to security check in the gate and they told me to proceed to window 1. One guy asked for my appointment letter and civil id then he gave me a badge. I was the first one there. Yay! I was told to wait on the waiting area in opposite window !. I've waited for 45mins, then some more applicants came. By 1245, they started calling numbers and I was the first one, They escorted us to security scanner. After that, just keep walking and another security will tell you where to go. So i went in there and was told by another guy to get a number it depends for what reason, mine is immigrant visa. I seated for like 20mins, then they called my number. I was so nervous, i got like 5kls of documents with me. All proof of relationship, anything i can bring, i brought it with me. All with extra copies. She greeted me and ask me for my passport, pictures, Police clearance kuwait, criminal record from my country, evidence of our relationship such as pictures, chatlogs.I tild her i got all cards and receipts she said not needed only if officer ask i have to present. And my birth certificate and cenomar was already received by them. They need it to office to office so it cost me a lot because it was sent through fedex. Also she asked for proof of domicile. All my documents are organized even pictures with dates and where it was taken. So she said okay, she asked me few questions:
1. My name
2. If i am married before and with kids also my fiancee.
3. If i live in other country for more than a year other than Kuwait and Phils
4. Where did we meet each other
Then she said i have to pay like 85kd for visa fee proceed to window 3, so i paid that and gave her back the receipts. She then told me to wait and they will call me. After 15mins i was called to a different window for finger printing another american lady. And she said have a sit we will call you for interview. I felt so desperate no one to talk too, also my whole body is shaking because this is the last part. To talk to CO. After 30mins i was called at window No.5, it was a young american CO and there was a diff guy beside him he looks arab. I greeted them and they said How am I, I said great nervous. The CO smiled and said dont worry. So the hot seat started. He told me to swear an oath. He read it for me and i just answered YES. The he said lets start. LOL I I am fucking dying inside! He said okay i will return all you evidence here pictures and chatlogs looks so perfect you guys soend so much time together. So he handed it back to me including police clearance, NBI,birth certificate. So i took it all. Then he keep the proof of domicile those are from my fiancee. (Letter from employer,ITR 2014-2016, W2s,driver license, bank account, car reg, passport copy, naturalization copy, bills payment.) So those are few cant remember the rest. So he started throwing question: Reminder guys make sure you always look at him in the eye when he talk to you! he was paying attention to the movement also body languange, gestures. Just be professional. Here are the questions:
1. My fiancee name
2.How long he live in america
3.Hes american?
4.Did you meet his parents?
5.Where you meet him?
6.Whats the wedding plan?
7.are you coming back here after wedding
8.How many days before we get married
9.If i travel other country
10.Where he lives
11.If my family coming to our wedding
12.If i been to america before
13.what is my job profile here
14.what are the plans when i get there
15.Do i have any relatives in america
Then he said everything looks good. Congratulations welcome to california! Your visa will be issued in few days. Good luck and have a good life together and i was in tears.
I thanked him a lot. I will see him again I will thanked him over and over again. I made a mistake in one answer but he didn't corrected me. He was so nice guy! when you look at him you wont feel nervous. So kind. I left with a smile because finally we will be together and start our life together. They did not ask for my ds160, also did not ask for affidavit of support from my fiancee.. The people in the embassy are so nice, they will treat you with respect from the securities until the consulate officer. Good luck everyone, i hope this will help you to your journey!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
