Hello. What questions did they ask in the interview for the lifting conditions?

Hello, the Officer just went over the I-751 form that we completed (complete name, date of birth, children, address including previous address, date of marriage etc.). Make sure to review the I-751 you completed Additional questions were the following: if were are living together including the date that I first move-in with my husband, children, living situation, if we are paying mortgage and # of times my husband visited my home country to see me and who did the groceries (since I mentioned we did not go out since March 2020 due to pandemic, I was a little bit chatty, so maybe refrain from telling anything that are not being asked by the Officer. The Officer will ask the same questions to your husband. He asked for current photos and joint tax. The interview lasted 10 minutes. Some I-751 interviews were waived, especially if you had AOS interview (we had not). Also the following questions might help, every officer will ask different questions: How did you meet? What's your date of birth? Have you ever been denied a visa? (beneficiary) How did you become a US Citizen? (petitioner) Has anyone in your family been denied a visa? (beneficiary) Do you have any children anywhere in the world? What do you do for a living ? Is this your first marriage? Do you have any children anywhere in the world? What is your current address? Have you ever been arrested? How You Met – Questions about how your relationship started and progressed prior to being married. It’s important to display that you and your spouse established a relationship and actually fell in love prior to being engaged then married. Where did you meet? What did the two of you have in common? Where was your first date? When did your relationship turn romantic? How long was it before you decided to get married? Who proposed to whom? Why did you decide to have a long or short engagement? When did you meet each other’s parents? Wedding – Questions about the day you tied the knot are common. Your wedding day is a special day that most couples cherish. You should be able to account for many details of that day. How many people attended your wedding? Did each of your parents attend? Where was the wedding held? Who were the bridesmaids/groomsmen? Where did you go for the honeymoon? Relationship– these questions usually deal with the intimate details of your marriage. Most married couples discuss these topics at least at some point in the first year. Who takes care of the finances? When is your spouse’s birthday? Have you ever been on vacation together? Do you attend church? When is your anniversary? Do you plan on having children? Do you have any children from previous marriages? Do you live together or plan on living together? Do you spend a lot of time together? Friends and Family Have you met each other’s families? How often do you see each other’s families? When was the last time you saw them? How do you typically celebrate holidays? For example, do you spend Thanksgiving with one family and Christmas with another? How many brothers and sisters does your spouse have? What are their names? Does your spouse have any nieces or nephews? Do you have mutual friends? What’s your spouse’s best friend’s name? Education Where did your spouse go to school? Did they go to college? What did your spouse major in? What did your spouse get a degree in? Employment Who is your spouse’s employer? How long has your spouse been working there? What is your spouse’s position? Where did your spouse work prior? Biographic Questions What is your name? What is your date of birth? What is your address? What’s your spouse’s full name? Has s/he used any other names? What’s your phone number? Marital Questions How long have you known your spouse? When and how did you meet? Where did you go on some of your first dates? Have you been married before? Do you have any children? Has your spouse been married before? Does s/he have any children? How long did you date before proposing to your spouse? What is the story of your wedding proposal? When did you get married? Did you have a wedding ceremony? Where did you have your wedding ceremony? Who attended your ceremony or reception? What food was served at your reception? Did you go anywhere for a honeymoon? If so, where did you go? Familial Questions Have you met your spouse’s family? What is the name of your spouse’s parents? Does your spouse have any brothers or sisters? What are their names? When was your eldest son or daughter born? What are your children’s names? Employment Questions Where does your spouse work? What is your spouse’s job title? What tasks does your spouse do at his or her job? How much does your spouse earn per year? Criminal Questions – for foreign spouse Have you ever been arrested, cited, charged, or detained for any reason by any law enforcement official? Have you ever committed a crime of any kind (even if you were not arrested, cited, charged with, or tried for that crime)? Have you ever plead guilty to or been convicted of a crime anywhere in the world? Have you ever been affiliated with a Communist group? Have you ever been affiliated with a terrorist organization? Miscellaneous Questions What is daily life like for you and your spouse around the house? How do you start your day? How often do you text or talk on the phone when you’re apart? *Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
