My fiancee lives in a rural area where there is no mail service to the physical home address. This caused some issues where the officer was a little confused because some of the paperwork has the physical address and some has the PO Box address. It has continued to cause issues, as for some reason they try to send some stuff to the physical address (which gets returned undeliverable, sigh). |

GOOD GRIEF! This has been a dark comedy. Make sure that if you have an I-485 AND an I-765 pending, that your biometrics appointment has BOTH receipt numbers on it, otherwise you will be in a world of hurt. |

Pretty much as expected. The only people who were having challenges with the process were people who turned up without having everything completed, or having medicals that were out of date, or some other part of the process where they hadn't followed the instructions.
I had no issues. The lady asked some confirming questions, where she had the answers on the screen in front of her anyway. All my stuff was in order, so they just said the magic words, "Your visa is approved, you'll have your passport back in the mail in the next week or so."
I could hardly wait to get back down, collect my phone and things from the security desk, then get down the lift so I could call my fiancee and tell her that we got the YES!
I'm now in the USA, we're married, and we've submitted the I-485 and I-797, so now we're just waiting for me to be able to work. That part sucks big time. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
