Consulate Review: Morocco
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 14, 2020
Embassy Review : My husbands appointment was set for 930 am. I sat outside while he was in there. He took my passport just in case. Around 11 am my husband says they want to speak with me. I go in and have a seat while the interviewer was speaking with my husband. I sat where I could hear the but far enough for the interviewer to see me. I stared at the tv while the interview was going on. Then I was called up only to be met by a blonde American woman in her 40s. We greeted each other with smiles. She asked me how long I had been in Morocco and I told her that I had arrived October 17 and was leaving January 15. She asked what does my husband and I do daily and I told her everything. She asked about my job. How do I communicate with his family. How did we meet. Then she called my husband up and she proceeded to ask him if he read his pamphlet and he said yes. She was very interested in our story and she asked about our trip to Tunisia and why did we go there. She asked him what he plans on doing in California and he told her. She asked why I uploaded an expired police record which I thought I uploaded the current one. She asked that I upload the new one. After speaking with her she knew my city and the highways. I believe she was from California but all in all she really was nice. She said that she will put us in AP until we uploaded our documents and review all of our additional evidence and she would call us later. December 26 we got a call to upload our first chat from the website we met on. We did and was in AP for 18 days. My husband happened to look up our case out of a dead sleep and saw the status changed and woke me up asking what did it mean. I told him and we decided that we would go to Casablanca to Aramex to see what was going on. Then we got a call saying come to consulate and pick up our documents and visa. What a wonderful feeling. Visa in hand and now we are going to fly together home. God is good.

I'm sorry your fiancé was not approved. Maybe you can get married and apply for CR1? How do you know the age difference was the reason for denial?

Well first of all the immigration process is not new to me. I have been married twice and both were younger than me by 20 years. Younger guys seem to be attracted to me even in my own city. The CO in this case had made sure he was the last one there. My fiancé overheard them talking and kinda felt that they had already made up their mind. A lot of questions were asked about my past and present. He answered them calmly but when someone already has made up their mind changing it is impossible. It’s ok the CO did his job. I’m just going to go back and marry my guy and go from there. I’m not going to question it or try to figure out how to appeal. Just suck it up and move on

I went to my interview on 1st October 2021,the consular office, asked me questions which I believed I answered him correctly, then he said I should be honest and tell him if am trying to move to America for work, and I told him I really love my wife which I truly do.but he later told me he is refusing to give me visa now, that he will put me on Administrative Review,so He took my passport and and told me they will call me whenever they decide on what to do about my case.Ever since then I feel so bad,I couldn't eat till now,I don't know exactly what to do next, please who know how long it takes them to finalize on what do do after administrative review?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
