I-751 Interview went very smoothly. After check-in and metal detector, my husband and I sat down at "Window 1" to give our IDs and receive a number. Afterward, we were seated in the waiting room. The interview was scheduled for 1:30 pm, we were called in around 1:50 pm. Both my husband and I were sworn in and instructed how the interview would go: via a tablet. We both sat at a desk with an iPad set-up and the IO was seated in her office. We basically just talked, laughed and she asked only two questions to the both of us: "Where do you work?" and "Explain what you do?" Most of it was just joking and laughing, she was very friendly and relaxing. The interview took about 10-15ish minutes. She said she will make a decision in an hour but everything looked great, so my 10yr green card will be here in 10 days.
An hour later I received a notification that my card was being produced.
Overall a 10/10 experience, even with COVID and precautions. Great office, great staff. |

01/29/21 at 11:00 AM. The interview itself took less than 30 minutes. I took the oath of allegiance in the office where my interview was held. Basically had a same-day oath-ceremony. I walked out of the building with my naturalization certificate. 10/10 experience. |

I was there with my dad, for moral support, at 8 o'clock exact to start waiting in the line. Together with 2 other people, I was waiting until they start to let us in. Through an intercom they ask your name and what appointment you have. Very nice people inside the Consulate. Cracked two jokes with the guards, they were extremely helpful and nice and actually funny. They put your passport in a plastic map with a number on it and you have to take a seat in the big room after going through the heavy, heavy door. They will call your number when it is your turn! The man collecting my papers at the first window was very enthusiastic, lol. Congratulated me on my upcoming wedding and we talked a little about Tennessee. Nearly waited 1,5 hours before actually getting interviewed, there was one K1 visa person before me. All that time I had to stare to the small TV watching CNN with the same report over and over again (The day after the attack in Nice). Room was full, I would say about 10 people before I had my interview taken. I give them a good rating but I felt no privacy during my interview taken. People could hear exactly what they asked me and what I answered and told the lady. She by the way was extremely nice, too. She looked at my ring a few times during her typing on the computer, she saw I was good prepared and did not want to see any evidence, even though sometimes I offered, like; "Oh I have a few cards from his grandmother if you'd like to see?" "Oh no, thank you, it's fine!" There were questions (sorry, it's a blur for me every since I walked out of the building!): "How did you meet?" "Where did you meet?" "Where did he propose?" "What does his family think of you?" "What does your family think of your fiancé?" "When was the last time you've seen him?" She wrote down the exact dates also when I mentioned it. For me, it took forever but I guessed it was around five minutes of talking when she looked at me and said, "Your visa is approved. It will be returned to you within five business days." It was a really good experience, I have to say. Just remind yourself that each CO interview goes different with different questions but if your relationship is bonafide.. You will be absolutely fine! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
