Consulate Review: Zimbabwe Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Event Description Review Date : March 16, 2016 Embassy Review : My final interview was a great experience even though prior experiences with the embassy were disheartening. The lady who interviewed me (behind the glass) repeatedly told me that she really didn't have much to ask me ( because we had provided adequate proof of relationship). My proof of relationship was mainly photos of me with my husband from the time we met to the year after our wedding - trips he took to see me because I was not allowed to visit him. The consulate requested that I drop off all the documents and medicals prior to the interview - which is something I had not heard of from anyone on this forum. So I could have walks into the interview with nothing but the invitation letter. I was asked to do an oath and told I can pick up my passport 2 days later. There was only one other person waiting to be interviewed which seemed strange because I waited a month for my interview so I assumed they were super busy. The interviews are only done on Tuesdays.
