Appt. : Interview Date : Approval / Denial Date : 2019-11-22 Approved : Yes Got I551 Stamp : Yes Green Card Received : Comments : I did not receive a Notice of Action within 8 weeks of filing and had to go to my local field station to get an I-551 stamp in my passport to ensure continued lawful residency and employment status. When the stamp was issued they took away my expired Green Card. I later found out they should not have done this and not having it complicated the check-in process for return flights to the US. I applied for a NOA using the USCIS website and one was received on May 7th 2019. No interview was required for the approval.

I therefore had to submit the IRS transcript of our joint tax filing online after the interview.
