Embassy Review : |
My interview was last Jan. 11, 206.
Me and my sister arrived at US embassy Manila at around 5:30am for our 6:15am schedule. There were a lot of fixers ready to approach you and guide you to where to fall in line. At first, I really wanted to ask a guard if our line is correct but I can't find one so I just let it be. Thank God, We fall in line at the right line
At around 6:10am our line was already moving. At around 6:20, me and sister gave our copies of Ds260 confirmation page (make sure that it has two barcodes) and 1st page of appointment letter and our passports. Since we are twins, we are going to all the steps together.
After we gave all of that, we proceed inside the embassy, they checked our bags, then we get our number, the woman stamped our number in our DS260 confirmation page and our interview letter, then the woman asked us to drop our appointment letter in window 38.
we dropped our appointment letter in window 38 then the usherette asked us to fall in line to be screened. then when it was our turn, the woman in the counter asked us to give our ds260 confirmation page and passport then she asked the ff:
my name
my sister's name
our birthday
petitioner
address in US
then she asked us to fall in line for finger scanning :P she just pointed where to fall in line.
so We fall in line, then when it was our turn, we gave our ds260 confirmation page and passports to the woman in the counter. then she first asked me to scan my left 4 fingers and right 4 fingers then two thumbs. then she asked my sister to do the same. and then she asked us to go to "step 2 C"
we went to step 2 C for our pre-screening, then the usherette asked us to sit because that serves as a line. then we waited for our turn. then when it was our turn, we were interviewed by a Filipino. He asked us to submit our original birth certificate, Cenomar, NBI clearance, marriage certificate of my mom and step dad and the envelope of our medical result then he asked us the folliwing (in tagalog).
our names
our birthday
petitioner
When was the marriage of our mom and step dad
age of step dad
how many child does my stepdad have
how many marriages does my step dad had before my mom
when was the last time we saw our step dad.
How do we communicate with my mom and stepdad
where are we living in the US
then he asked us to fall in line for our OATH taking
the line was short so we were finish in oath taking fast then the american asked us to fall in line for step 4, the interview with the american consul.
we sit again, it serves as our line. we waited. then when my row was asked to stand up and fall in line near the consuls, i can hear what the consuls were asking to other applicants, there was this consul who are already in bad mood because the applicant cant clearly say the answer so me and my sister hoped not to be assign to that consul but unfortunately, we were assigned to that consul.
the consul asked us simple questions (we were lucky!)
our names
petitioner name
date of marriage of my mom and stepdad
how old are we last 2013
that's it! then he laughed (we dont know the reason hehehe) , then he said "Congratulations! you are approve!" then thanked him! then he asked us to proceed to step 5 the release area.
Again.. we fall in line, the line was already pretty long but it's okay. When it was our turn, the woman in the counter just told us to register our mailing address online (the website is www.ustraveldocs.com). then she told us that we are going to do that at home.
we went home with our a big smile on our faces, we cant wait to tell our mom the results. because she cant sleep waiting )
after 10hours, i checked our status in CEAC, and it's already ISSUED. so it makes me more excited!
over all, our experience was good and fast! the employees there are friendly and the consul was pretty nice although he was in a bad mood because of the applicant before us.
