Event Description
Review Date : January 24, 2017
Embassy Review : As written by my wife - as she went to the interview alone in Jakarta, Indonesia:

There were 2 steps involved. First was an Indonesian individual who had to review that I actually had all the necessary documents. She was very strict and kind of moody, very business-like and fast. The key issue here that I had was that she requested 3 years worth of my fiancee's tax documents, we had only included 2 years worth, as requested on the government website and visa application. I highly recommend overdoing it and including as much as possible even if it's not a requirement, with regards to documents and proof of relationship. Fortunately, she let me through to the next step.

Step 2 was the actual interview with an American individual. She was very nice, friendly and asked me questions like

- how we met
- where we met in person
- what I did for a living,
- what he did for a living, etc.
- She brought up the fact that I had previously applied for a tourist visa, which had been declined, and asked what the purpose of that was.

Overall she was nice though and the interview lasted about 5-7 minutes. The entire experience lasted roughly 45 minutes to an hour.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
