Embassy never sent the instructions packet for the interview, had to email after 6 weeks, I recommend doing that sooner if in doubt.
Embassy required receipt of bank payment for interview fee (was not on the lis).
Embassy provided an appointment time but it is first come first serve upon arrival. |

USCIS are a bunch of idiots. Just like the EAD card I wait and wait until well late in the process compared to other people, then I inquire via obudsman and boom its approved next day. No interview, no RFE, no nothing. Pathetic. |

Ridiculous USCIS. Don't assume your case will go like everyone else's in the database. Babysit it and file online SR at day 75 and day 90.
Submitted "SR" at 93 and no response. Contacted Senator on day 97, next day response of "assigned to officer". Submitted second SR on 105 (agent didn't see 1st one) on basis of "past regulatory time frame" and approved later that day. Went "into production" on 113. Mailed on 126. Arrived 128.
Recommendation: On day 75, submit a SR Online for the EAD noting "approaching regulatory time frame". Followup on day 90 if necessary with another "past regulator time frame" Online SR.
I'll emphasize online SR such that telephone "customer service" doesn't have an opportunity to mess it up. |

Completely unnecessary delays for the interview. CIS office changed from St Louis (biometrics) to Chicago (interview). Need to do virtual interview and oath ceremonies, or skip them altogether. Vote suppressed.
Stupid Chicago USCIS needed additional evidence, but didn't tell me about it until at the interview. Also wanted documents that aren't required (such as current year tax return), as only 3 years prior to application are required - having an additional year delay due to their processing incompetence doesn't change the requirement.
USCIS website is garbage. I went to upload the documents and it has a limit, but says you can add more once you 'respond'. Well, the add more link is broken, so I'm stuck with a half filed response.
Ended up mailing it in and approved the same week. What a shitshow. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
