Consulate Review: Vancouver, Canada
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 19, 2016
Embassy Review : Arrived at consulate with all documentation required but was denied entry to the building because I did not bring a copy of the DS-160 application which stated in bold letters “Your Personal Copy - Do Not Bring to Interview“ the security guard said I could print the documents and return later that day. After arriving with the required form I was granted entry into the building. The employees were generally okay in a governmental “go stand over there” kind of a way. The whole process was very slow and I was there for several hours.
Rating : Poor

Event Description
Review Date : October 19, 2016
Embassy Review : Arrived 15 minutes early for the interview and was greeted by a friendly and informative security guard, after checking in we waited for about 20 minutes when our interviewer introduced herself. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name but she was remarkably courteous and professional. The interview was entirely painless with questions about how we met, our wedding and trips we had taken together. We were very impressed, she made us feel entirely at ease.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
