9/12/16 - notification from USCIS website that they will schedule me for an interview. No date as of 9/16/16
Praise God!
- I walked in at the US Embassy Manila about 5AM, the line was long for my 730 Appointment.
- I was allowed entry immediately at 630. No cellphones, camera, bubble gum, etc
- Please read the guidelines from US Embassy to know what to bring. Screening window # 3 will reschedule you if requirements is incomplete.
- know your significant dates ( when you met, where you met)
- they still asked for our pictures and communication evidence
- It was a factor that I have been to the US and came home on time.
LOOK GOOD and FEEL GOOD!
- You are marrying the man/woman of your lifetime!
- They asked me what my Fiance's favorite food is..
that was hard.. lol.. because I have been telling him to eat healthy.
- They asked what his hobbies are.
- They are trained to check what is genuine relationship vs not so. I can hear the questions for everyone else, and it varies. There is no standard format.
We are so happy! We thank God for all this! |

What an Experience!
I came there and do what I had to do. No expectations, I am just pretty sure.. I know the man I am marrying and I prayed so hard.
- They asked me:
- How we met, how many times he visited
- Why I went to the US ( and it was great that I came back according to schedule)
Note: if someone overstayed with a Tourist Visa, they will scrutize with the 'Whys"
The applicant ahead of me had to explain why he overstayed
- They asked about his work, his hobbies
- and finally this question " What's his favorite food?" ahahaha.. I know it. This would come! So I told them he was not eating healthy as agreed.
- The pretty US Consul asked for our pictures, our communcation logs.. smiled and said.. no further questions.. Proceed to Step 5
So they took my Passport. Told me to wait for it at home ( in my case, I will pick it up)
I floated away from the US embassy, I was light headed already due to lack of food!
ahahaha. I smiled and thanked GOD so much that Finally I feel like I am now going to a bride!
Thanks - We are worth the lining, the medical interview and all. Praise GOD! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
