Embassy Review : Medical Examination
I had my medical Exam done at the Medysis building in Montreal. I was very nervous and couldn't eat as we drove from Kingston. Once we found parking, we used the lot under the Medysis building we went around the corner and got a muffin as I didn't want to pass out after my blood test. My appointment was at 11am but we came upstairs at 10am I checked in and filled out the paperwork. Make sure you have your alien visa number from your NOA2 and your 5 passport photos. Once I handed my paperwork to the receptionist 20 mins later they called me in for my chest X-ray and at 11:20 I got my physical exam the doctor was really funny and nice. The exam took maybe 10 mins and I got sent out to receptionist after. Probably 30 mins later I got called in for my blood test where she took my temperature height and weight. Then the actual blood test testing for syphillis I didn't need any needles as I was up to date got my flu shot the week before. Once complete you sign a paper and wait to get called to pay and arrange pick up. Don't forget also to ask for your DS-3025 as you will need that when you adjust status as it records your vaccinations. All in all the Exam was easy and fairly quick !

Interview
Me and my fiancé stayed at the courtyard Mariot on Rene Levesque three minutes away from the consulate. We scoped the area out the night before just to make sure we knew where we were going. We woke up at six this morning and and walked over at 6:45. When we turned the corner we found two others waiting in line so we followed behind them the side closest to st Catherine's on the left if facing the doors. Bundle up because it was freezing waiting out there and they make you go through the door one at a time. At 7:30 a woman came out and asked us to get out our DS-160s and passports to get checked in. She passed me applicant number 1 ticket and we went through security.

At security we were asked to take coats off and check electronics we left ours at the hotel. We were then instructed to go downstairs and wait we took the seats closest to the elevator and got out the documents that the ticket said to take out

-passport
-two passport photos
-medical
-appointment letter with payment record

We sat here for about 10 mins until instructed to go in the elevator and press 19 and out the elevator there was a nice lady who told people with tickets to sit down until called. Upstairs there is vending machines and coffee for two bucks each incase you forgot to eat or something. Once upstairs we sat for about 5 mins and then I was called to window one where I have the documents instructed to have prepared on the ticket along with.

-intent to marry
-I-134s with proof we had a co sponsor as well
-birth certificate long form
-police check
-DS-160

I was then finger printed and handed a domestic violence pamphlet with #1 on it the lady who took my documents was very nice. After sitting for maybe 2 minutes I got called to window 8 where a man sat smiling he told my fiancé to go sit as it would only be a minute. There the man handed me back my birth certificate opened the folder the previous lady made it looked untouched still had the elastic she put around it with tape. He then finger printed me again to ensure what I was saying was true and asked the following questions

-have you ever lived anywhere but the U.S?
-have you ever over stayed in the U.S?
-have you ever had trouble at the border
-have you ever had trouble with the police when I said no he replied with because you haven't been caught

I laughed he was very nice and kept me at ease after the questions he slid a piece a paper that said "has your visa been accepted?" I looked up and said I don't know had it? Which he replied with it sure has and high fived me through the class and handing me the welcome to the U.S. Letter. The whole process was easy peasy and pretty funny. I'm so relived this part is over can't wait to finally marry my fiancé !!

Embassy Review : I crossed at Highgate Springs Vermont and it was really easy! Took about an hour got asked a couple questions. I also imported my dog and car so I had forms for them too I called the crossing in advance to see what forms they required. I had to get a compliance letter from Toyota for my car which was easy just had to call customer service. All in all it was a smooth process through !

Embassy Review : Biometrics
My appointment was March 24th and googled early walkins but previous attempts by other VJers showed that this office did not like early walkins.
The appointment was simple I went through security and walked into a room of chairs where I filled out a form and handed it back with my appointment letter and ID if you changed your last name make sure you have and ID or marriage certificate with that on it. I waited a couple minutes and was then called for fingerprints a picture and a signature !
My appointment was for 9:00am but I showed up at 8:30 ish and they took me right away was out before 9:00!!
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
