He had a very long wait for processing because of so many planes landing at the same time, the total time for him to get through customs was almost 3 hours. Once his name was called, the process was completed in about 20 minutes. The officer was very nice and welcomed him to the USA, after instructing him that he had 90 days to marry. |

Sent package to Lees Summit MO, Received notice on Jan 23, 07 that AOS package was transferred to CA for 'speedier' processing. Social Security card received on January 25, 2007, with notation of 'not authorized for work w/o permission of Dept of H.S.' We had applied for SSN when we received our marriage certificate in November, well before the K1 expired on January 11, 2007. We checked back x2, on the phone and in person at the local office. Advised that there was a computer error and his application was 'stuck in a glitch in the system of Social Security and the card would come within another few weeks.' We believe that the clerk that performed the initial application did not understand the rule for K-1 visa holders. No AOS interview or RFE's |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
