Comments : Received Loomis Waybill emails evening of Oct 14th. No emails or call to pick up - went by Loomis office after 12 noon and when the Loomis agent opened the plastic Loomis envelope the inside paper envelope that is "NOT TO BE OPENED" was ripped open! Loomis was very relaxed about it - had them take photo (with my camera) and write note that they witnessed the inside envelope was ripped after THEY opened the outside plastic envelope.

Consulate Review: Montreal, Canada
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description

Embassy Review : Coming from the west coast - I have to complain that it really does not make sense to have us travelling 10 hours over a two day period for a 1 hour interview. Interview itself went basically like most of the other interview reviews for the Montreal Consulate. If you get there early and line up - you will get through it quickly. Make sure you print every piece of paper that the NVC and Consulate send you. I saw many people who were denied because they didnt have the right paperwork. The officer let me know that if I did participate in the online blogs to stress the importance of telling other IR1 Visa petitioners - domicile and the affidavit of support are the key. If your spouse has a place and a job in the US and is above the poverty guidelines - you wont have a problem.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
