Update 12/12/2019: I received last week a NOA of I-751 approval stating that I won't receive a green card because I will take the oath instead.
Update 11/26/2019: Naturalization interview turned out to be a combo interview. I did not get a passport stamp and do not expect to receive a green card since I will take the oath for citizenship instead.
Update 10/23/2019: Notice of interview for naturalization came although there hasn't been action taken yet on lifting conditions.
Couldn't make the June 11 biometrics appt, did successful early walk-in on Tue., June. 5 (Alexandria, VA office). |

Interview notice came before action was taken on my application for lifting of conditions.
Had combo interview for I-551 and N-400. My wife and baby daughter were present for both parts. For the first part (lifting conditions), we were first sworn in, then asked a couple of basic questions (full name of the spouse, date of the marriage, date of birth of the spouse). We also had to show the original of our daughter's birth certificate since she wasn't born when we applied to lift conditions.
For the second part (naturalization), the officer allowed my wife and daughter to stay as long as my wife agreed to not speak up. I took first the civics test (What does the President's cabinet do? What is one right from the First Amendment? Why did the colonists fight the British? How long do we elect Representatives for? How many Senators are there? Who signs bills to become laws?). I then took the reading test (Where is the White House?) and the writing test (The White House is in Washington D.C.) on a tablet. The longest part was the Yes/No questions for good moral character and agreements with each part of the oath.
Our appointment time was 10:45 am, we arrived at 10:15, the interview started at 10:55 and ended around 11:30. We then waited until shortly after 1 pm to schedule the oath ceremony and were offered two time slots on 11/29 morning. I will be out of town then (it's the Friday after Thanksgiving). I was told that it was no big deal, that I'd be put on a "general schedule" and to expect a rescheduling notice the mail. |

I had completed a thorough review back in July 2016 when the interview took place, but it seems to have been deleted. Anyway, that interview went well even though I recall waiting ~1 hr beforehand. We were approved during the interview. |

What do you mean lifting of condition
Ma87 on 2019-10-23 said: Also did you apply on baltimore or virginia?
Thank you
I have two applications pending: one to lift conditions on my permanent residency (I-751, submitted in April 2018), and one for naturalization (N-400, submitted in April 2019). The interview is for the N-400. I applied in Baltimore.
Ma87 on 2019-10-23 said: Okay again thank you for your replay
Did you receive the notice by mail or it is appear on your uscis account?
Thanksagain
Sure thing! So far the notice is only on my USCIS account.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
