Husband went in, they asked him how long he was married, how many kids and to show taxes. She then looked at him and said Good Luck you are approved. Very fast. He had appointment at 9:15 but went earlier and they called him at 8:30. He was done by 8:40 |

Husband went in, had a 15 minute interview and was given a sheet saying he passed the test but they needed more information as to why we owe taxes. Husband was bummed as he thought he was denied because he was told that his case could be denied for missed payments. He took all the documents, payment plans and all but we did miss a couple of payments as I was laid off. They gave us 30 days to explain what happened and I wrote a statement saying that I was let go and we could not afford to make the payments but that I did reach out to the IRS to let them know my situation. None the less we got the approval letter on Oct. 4th. We are now just waiting on the ceremony. |

Timeline Comments: 1Super proud of Javy. Unfortunately he died a month and a half after becoming a citizen
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
