Interview was straightforward. Combo interview with I-751. Only brought in husband for a minute or two just to say he was there. Complimented us on the thoroughness of our application. Approved both cases and transferred to a different office for ceremony due to moving a couple of months ago. So that may slightly delay the application. We also had to reschedule original interview. That all worked out extremely smoothly! |

Filling this out for my wife, the beneficiary.
My wife arrived at about 710 for an 830 appointment. After being sorted into a queue based on her time she was then told to go to the front since she was an immigrant visa. Apparently this angered some in the queue. I only wish I could have been there to see that as my wife hates having attention on her. 😜
After arriving inside she had to wait a good hour before being called up to do her documents. At this point the man asking for her documents started asking her the questions that were on the medical form. They did not see her medical which was completed on 9 Nov. However, after she assured them that she had done it, they just asked if she had been told to see her GP about anything. She told the officer no and they took her documents and fingerprints.
After about 2 hours she was called back up to do the interview. The officer asked when we got married and how we met. My wife, who had been extremely nervous about the interview no matter how much I tried to calm her, just started telling our life's story and it was over in about 2 minutes. This officer advised her to ring Knightsbridge about the medical and said that assuming they get that sorted quick she would have her passport back in about 10 days. They did not specifically state that she was approved, but they took her passport and did NOT hand her any paperwork or 221g regarding the missing medical, so I think we can take that to mean APPROVED!
It's just frustrating that they make a big deal out of having the medical done 5 business days prior to the interview so that they have it and one that was completed almost a month ago is still sitting on a desk somewhere. My wife did ring Knightsbridge and they assured her they had sent the medical 2 days after her visit. Hopefully, they'll find it soon and have her passport back.
Overall, my wife was extremely stressed before the interview but it was a pretty smooth process. She said it took longer for the documents and fingerprinting than the interview.

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
