Thanks to visajourney.com, I got my preparation well for the visa in Jakarta. I didn't get any hassle at all when I submited my documents and was so surprise that my visa was approved right away. The interview was so easy, the embassy only asked general question about my background, just to check whether it's right or not.
On January I came here with my fiance (now my husband), and was so nervous when I queuing at the immigration. I haven't got much information about what would happen at the POE (JFK, NY) and so nervous if I missed something. After the fingerprint and the photo, the guy there sent me to another room and wait for another couple minutes. I was alone, my fiancee couldn't accompany me because he's a citizen and went through another line of immigration. There, I got my I-94 stamped with temporary EAD valid until my visa expired.
Now, we got married and I'm about to submit my AOS. Hope everything goes smooth like my visa. |

I couldn't believe it I got it approved! The infopass did help my case a lot, up until this afternoon I thought it won't come on time for my trip plan, which is the day after tomorrow. We're about to cancel the whole trip. Thanks to the lady at the Boston office, she's so kind (her name is Jacqueline Gibbs). Anyone who'll meet her in the future, send her my regards!

Never try to contact them by phone, even if you have the direct number, they just won't answer it. at least that's what happen to me. If you have any question in mind, just ask it when you meet them in face or try to find the answer somewhere else. If you are applying for K1 visa, NEVER ever gueuing with the other visa applicant, even when the guard said so. I always argued with the guard that I had the appointment with the lady at the locket 4 (that's the immigrant locket) and she said I should just go direct there. The queuing is only for the non immigrant visa and you're applying under the immigrant visa (K1/K3).
All in all, if you well prepared, they won't make any hassle at all. My personal experience, the lady at the locket 4 wasn't friendly at all (I forgot her name now and other people whom queuing with me also has the same opinion) but I got all my homework well done, so what the hell.
Good Luck! |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
