Embassy Review : |
My interview was at 2:00. I got to the embassy (it was really a checkpoint across the street) at 1:00. At 1:30 a security guard scanned me. Then I sat back down and waited until 2. At two, I went to the main embassy building. I went to a window and gave the lady my two pictures, passport, letter from packet 3, and DS 160. I was then let through and scanned again, they took my phone. After that, I went straight to another window and paid my fee. They gave me a receipt and I sat and waited for 10 minutes before they called me to another window. At this window, I gave I-134, and translated documents. She looked through, handed me back some papers, asked what language for my interview, I said English. I sat back down for another 15 minutes before being called in for my interview.
The interview was so easy. The CO was very friendly and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. He had our case memorized from the petition my fiancé sent in. He asked where my fiancé was born, about her parents and her daughter, about our wedding and future plans, when we met and how our relationship progressed, where my fiancé studied and what. I answered "I don't know" a couple times. As long as you're truthful, it's fine. It was quick and easy. I was in and out in less than 2 hours.

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
