Consulate Review: Israel
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description

Embassy Review : Jerusalem consulate is way more laid back than the one in Tel Aviv.
At first I stood in the line for the counter outside. My interview was at 9:15 but I got there at 8 am. Still they let me in. I deposit my cell phone at Security and got in with my backpack and documents. After about 15 minutes they called my name to the counter and the nice lady has gone over all the documents she needed from me. After that I set down and waited for the consul to call me for the interview.
It took a while, about 40 minutes till the consul called me to another counter. She was very sweet and kind and asked me just a coupe of questions before she said that was it, except there was a problem with my DS-260 that was for some reason open in their system and because of that, they couldn't take my fingerprints. That was a problem cause their internet just went down or something. I went out took my smartphone and closed it outside of the building. I came in again through security, same drill, and I signal the same lady that I made the change. She called me 2 turns after and it turns to be fine. I ended the whole thing in about 3 hours.
All and all- it was a very positive experience.
