Consulate Review: Nigeria
Review Topic: K3 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 13, 2006
Embassy Review : Okay...here is the long awaited for news of Sam's interview ....but first..YES..he was approved YIPEE! As usual...he was instructed to be at the consulate at 7 am to wait in line for entry in to the building...where upon entry he was first asked to pay his visa fee..then he had his fingerprints and oath..after that it was a very long wait. Finally at 2:30 he was taken to a room where the interviewer was waiting for him...it was all an done with in about 3 minutes time LOL The interviewer only asked Sam questions that had "YES" responses to..such as his wifes name, my work place, my area interests such as hobbies etc. Sam said that the man who interviewed him was very pleasant and jovial..it was fast and easy once he was actually having the interview. But..LOL...when the interviewer saw the amount of proof that we had...over 35 pounds of proof...the interviewer was satisfied. The interviewer did not read the chats, emails, or other things like cards or other correspondance...his main concern was with phone records, statement from employer and statement from bank. I was in Nigeria during the time of Sam's interview and I had also provided a leave of abscence request form from my employer which they had approved. The interviewer was most interested in this ....as it was important to him that I was in Nigeria at the time of my husbands interview date, as to him is was undeniable proof that we were truly commited to each other and our relationship as husband and wife. At this point the interviewer conrgatualted Sam and asked him to return to the consulate in 3 days to pick up his visa.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
