Port of Entry : Miami

Got EAD Stamp : Yes,Passport Stamp
Biometrics Taken : No
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : The entry into the US was very very easy. The customs agents allowed me to accompany Luisa into the waiting area, we sat for a few minutes and then she was called up. The gentleman saw me with her and asked me to join her. He asked her a series of questions in Spanish and then turned to ask me something in spanish as well. Not understanding his question (He had a strong Cuban accent) Luisa asked the question again only in english to me, I answered and then the guy said, "Oh you speak english." She was then asked a few more questions and that was it. Very very easy!

Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 7, 2006
Embassy Review : The process went really well for us, she arrived to the Embassy around 6:15 AM, waiting for about 20 minutes before they started letting people inside. The gentleman that interviewed Luia spoke to her in spanglsih throughout the interivew (but only after he asked her if she spoke english). After about 10 questions, he said that she could return at 4 PM to pick up her visa since she was from out of town. However when she returned at 4 PM it was not ready, so she had to wait another day to pick up her visa.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
