Embassy Review : |
Our interview was scheduled for June 23rd at 8:45am. My husband was so nervous leading up to it, he was making me anxious! But I kept telling him there was nothing to worry about because we had been married and living together for nearly 6 months, plus our filing process had gone perfectly. We arrived at the office and checked in at 8:40am, I'm glad we didn't come too early because the wait was over an hour anyway (the waiting room started filling up as we waited, a lot of couples had young children with them but only one had a lawyer with them). Once called, our officer greeted us, she was an older woman, and very nice. The first question she asked was what hospital was I born in which threw me off. I replied and then she informed me that she was also from NJ! Anyway she and I got along famously, she asked for our notice and our photo album (that was it!) and proceeded to look through the photos (only about 12 in a small 4x6 album) and asked a few questions about them, she asked us how we met, her and my husband talked about Jamaica a little bit, she asked a few questions from the forms and then the long list of questions and the interview was done! She spent way more time talking to me than my husband and said she thought we would make it as a couple but if we didn't sh*t happens! She told us we were approved and that the card would arrive in 7-10 business days, she had us sign a form and gave us the instructions for the i751. My husband and I were so shocked at how stress free the process was! The card hasn't arrived yet but it should soon. Hope this was helpful! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
