There is no Packet 3 as such, just a set of instructions that I got on email. Got that by sending an email to the generic email id listed on the consulate's website. They told me how to set the interview and listed the documents I needed for it. |

Easy entry and courteous immigration officer. Asked if I knew how long I had to get married per the visa. Repeated the exact same thing I told him... 90 days etc etc.. and sent me off |

Got an RFE for medical. It said that my medical had expired though it had only been 6 months since it was originally done. Anyway, paid $200 to a civil surgeon, got shots and sent the new medical through. Got the approval a week later. There was no update on the system when the RFE was sent or received by them |

Haven't heard back about my i751 extension ( removal of conditions). I was eligible to file for citizenship with a pending extension and applied for it.
Update - A day after I went in for my biometrics for n 400, my I 751 case got updated. It showed card produced and now shows mailed - 05/07. Which was a year after I filed ! Also, in between I had called and spoken with a USCIS supervisor and raised a case. Don't know if that too may have helped speed up the process. I've read filing n400 when eligible does speed up i751 if still pending.
Please file for n 400 when eligible. Don't bother yourself with people that say you can't file until you get your 10 year card / ask you to wait to get the 10 year PR card before filing.
Hope this helps.
Citizenship -
I was late for my oath taking by 15 minutes and almost didn't go in thinking I won't be allowed. I was . Someone else came in 50 minutes later and he too was allowed in .
This is just so others who might find themselves in my situation , don't lose sleep over getting late. I really didn't want to have to reschedule. Thank God, I didn't need to. |

I had my interview on the 29th of this month. My day started with a consulate employee ripping my birth certificate. Luckily for me it was just the top border that tore and not the actual text on the certificate.
I was scheduled for the 830am slot and had to wait until 1215 for my interview. It lasted less than 3 minutes. Questions asked :
1> How do you know her?
2> Why are you getting married in the US and moving there?
3> How long were you in the UK?
The lady interviewing me didn't ask for any additional proof. She went through an album that was submitted with the I-129F and saw the entire album (it was a very thin album- 20, 25 pictures). I was carrying a file with me, nothing too huge, but had all the documents various members on this website suggest along with new Letters of Intent and proof of the most recent trips etc.
3 minutes in she said "congratulations, your visa has been approved. Enjoy America" and that was that

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
