Embassy Review : |
My appointment was at 7:45. I got in line at 7:20. The staff was super nice, relaxed and helpful, no problems at all!
The officer asked me when and how my fiance and I met and following that if we started seeing each other/dating right after that. She also asked if he came to visit me in Germany at all. Then she said everything looks good and I'm all set. It literally took about 5 minutes and there's no need to be nervous if you have nothing to hide.
The only thing I noticed was that people really don't inform themselves enough in advance. 4 People had their bags and cellphones and some girls had wallets which didn't get through security cause it looked like there could be a memory card in there somewhere! Just take a folder with your appointment confirmation letter and your passport, you don't need anything else. Don't wear belts or anything like that to make it easier for yourself and everyone else
If noone can take you there or you don't wanna drive, I recommend the Hotel Villa am Wasserpark - I stayed there and it was great and affordable. It's about 500 m from the embassy so you can easily walk there in the morning and leave all your stuff in the room.
Pardon me, in case I just repeated what everyone else said! I'm sure this is nothing new!
Good luck! You won't need it |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
