Everything went pretty smoothly... my fiance came with me, we were there 45 minutes before the time of the interview, waited in line outside the consulate, then entered a long room with a lot of windows and with very uncomfortable benches... I was first called to a window and gave the affidavit of support, medical, biographic info and DS 156. Then waited for an hour. Called again to another window to show the proof of relationship... my fiance was standing right beside me and we just showed them the boarding passes of his trips to Lima (he came to visit 3 times in the 5 months I was in Peru) and the lady said that was enough... so much for the printing of emails and gathering of a LOT more info... she asked us how we met, when I last left the US, since I asked for an extension I told her about that and presented the updates of that case (they never answered)and then we waited some more.... We arrived at 7:30am... at about 1:00pm they called us again and this guy took my fingerprints and told us we were APPROVED!!!!!!! No hassle, just A LOT OF WAITING... I will advise to take a book or something... |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
