Comments : This visa has been a struggle. My 1-129F was approved 5/28/2015 and sent to NVC 6/8/2015. However NVC had still not received it. I got a senator involved. They said my case was sent back to USCIS TSC. I had them inquire with TSC and their response came back that my case was approved 5/28/2015 and sent to NVC 6/8/15. I was beyond frustrated. I called NVC and asked the status of my case. As soon as she said my case was still not received I immediately go tears in my eyes. It has been almost a year since I started the petition/visa. I was trying to hold back my tears and talk normally. The last thing I wanted was to come off as manipulative; as if I was crying to get somewhere. I think she could tell; whoever I was talking to. I asked if anyone could help me and she got a supervisor on the phone. Again I was still pretty upset and trying to hold back tears. He said he had to email a lot of places and let me know. He had already inquired for other applicants and had not heard anything in three weeks. He is going to call me when he knows something.

Yesterday I got an email saying USCIS approved my I-129F petition 9/10/15. As far as I know my petition was approved 5/28/15. The only thing that explain this additional approval is that it was indeed sent back to TSC and they had to do some additional processing on the case and re-approved it. When I called USCIS they sort of explained this to me. Either NVC or Department of State found a discrepancy on my petition and NVC and Department of State had to look into the situation. It's possible this is what happened but I will never know.

So now I await my case to be sent to NVC and processed by them. I can't wait to have my husband here. I can't wait. I really hope this "approval" 9/10/15 is good news and my visa will be smooth sailing.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
