Embassy Review : Had interview today at the embassy in Dublin. Arrived a little early, plenty of on street parking but bring lots of change to pay the meter in advance for two to two and half hours. At the embassy itself security check was quick and efficient. You have to leave any phone or tablet/laptop in a small locker.

Once inside the staff are friendly and after checking it at one desk it was about 30 minutes before called to the next counter where they asked for birth cert and police cert from myself, Affidavit of support and tax documents from my fiancee. After handing over documents you move to next counter to pay, $265 or the equal in euro, its was €252 today.

After another wait of approx 30 mins I was called to the counter for the 'interview'. Finger prints taken and I was asked to tell the story of our relationship, how we met and what were our plans. They didn't look for any other proof or documents. After a brief chat the consular official said the words i was waiting on....You are approved. He said a few more things but i was so happy. He did say it will take 5-10 business days for visa to be mailed out and to nit open the big envelope withing the package then wished us luck

Overall even though nervous it was a very pleasant afternoon and the embassy staff were excellent, friendly and efficient.

It was a good experience. Polite and professional staff from the security at the door to reception on 1st floor to interview staff. I arrived at 815am for my 830 appt, Security took no more than 5 minutes. Check in at reception on the first floor before being directed to the 3rd floor to wait for interview. At about 9.10am I was called in for my interview. The interview was professional and friendly. Answered my 10 questions and done the writing and reading tests which went really well. Onto my form answers and we had to add my military service as well as our 3 newly adopted children but that only took a few minutes. After all that was done we went over the Oath and I was handed a piece of paper showing me I was approved. I was all done within an hour. I was told it would take up to 45 days to hear about Oath ceremony but I had the notification that my oath ceremony will take place in the same offices on Aug 6th by the time I got home, I only live 10 minutes from the USCIS office! Hope this helps

I had to read a 4 word sentence, Who was George Washington, then I had to write the answer, Washington was the first president. Got asked 10 questions in total, got all 10 correct. Went to the Atlanta office just off 285 between Tucker and Decatur

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
