Hi -
Hugo flew to Ciudad Juarez from Mexico City after taking an overnight bus from Cuernavaca.
Luckily, a week earlier he was able to complete the ASC and the medical in Mexico City and 6 days later was taking the flight to Juarez.
He stayed at the Ibis hotel. Great location, minutes from the consulate and a huge mall and many inexpensive food choices.
The taxi from the airport cost approximately $15 USD for a 15 minute ride and the fare had to be purchased at a desk inside the arrivals area of the airport.
The hotel was inexpensive and even though he arrived at 0830 local, he did not get his room until 1600 local. A long day in the lobby playing with his iphone.
The next morning, with his appointment at 0815, he left the hotel at 0800 with plenty of time to spare.
The next two (2) hours were spent from person to person and building to building until the final interview with a gentlemen who asked three questions. Where is your fiance from? How long have you been together? What do you do for a living?
That was it... APPROVED.
They gave him, today, a DHL tracking number and said to expect in 1 - 2 weeks, however, most posts here show the passport arriving at Day #3 at the DHL pickup location.
Woo hoo!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
