Embassy Review : |
Had a good experience at the US Embassy in Kingston. We arrived at 9 for 9:30 appointment. Wait was not long at all to get in the Embassy. We had no issues at all. The first woman at the window was very matter of fact. Let me have this document, that document, I need the original.. We gave her what she asked for and then was told to have a seat and wait to be called again.
The second call we went to window and the CO was very pleasant, nice, and personable. She only asked 3 questions about his previous stay in the US, and our previous filed Petititon.
She addressed our concerns about getting the passport back, due to a trip we had already planned for July, and gave us instructions for him to obtain it if he hasn't received it by then.
It was very nerve wracking, but all in all was a good experience.
Everyone was very helpful and courteous during the process.
We were in and out in an hour. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
