First submitted in December. However received rejection letter in January for mix-mode payment. I sent correct checks for i-485 and biometrics though. But sent a credit card authorization for for EAD, while I didn't know EAD with 485 for K1 didn't require payment.
Second time I wrote check for EAD as well, and they returned the EAD check at the day of NOA.
I-485 approved because there was enough evidence that our marriage and relationship had been super legit.
Greencard is being printed as of 4/11/2024 |

Denied on April 11th, because AOS was approved. (I put on that date as approval because there is no option of denial date, and I keep getting spammed with EAD estimate |

Overall smooth procedure, as it is explained.
One thing for immigrant visa, don't stress over arriving too early. You will be waiting in same line as non-immigrant visa. But one make sure you do get appointment number before you even pass the security for immigrant visa. It's possible they forget to give you, since most of the people in line would be for non-immigrant visas.
Whatever number you would get, chances are odd numbers will be called by window 1, even numbers would be called by window 2. Don't stress too much if even numbers are going too fast or odd numbers are going super fast.
You will have finger prints taken there.
Once you are cleared from there and submitted the documents, you would have to wait, until you are called from Window 7. That's where you take some oath. |

Timeline Comments: 7Hi,
Congrats on getting the appointment slot. what time you logged in and how often you check, we have been checking daily but no slot available. also where their many slots or only few available when you see the dates. ? any hint or advice much apricated.
Monday morning india time.
Hi, I have a question. NVC has stated that they sent our case to the US Consulate in Mumbai. I've competed the DS-160 for an Immigrant Visa. This is for my approved K-1 petition. Can you please let me know where I should go online to pay for the DS-160 application. The site states that I have to pay before I can schedule an interview. NVC never sent me a packet.
Thank you.
I see your fiancé is from India also. What was the process like for you? We are a same sex couple, so we are a little worried about.
@fenix-vijay
Process was similar to any heterosexual fiance. But we made sure we had plenty of pictures of our excursions, showing our love.
Also our green card approved before EAD, saying there is enough evidence to prove it's legitimate relationship. (We had our wedding in backyard in a tent with Pakistani dresses.)
Awesome! Thank you for the feedback. We sent plenty of evidence of me with him & his family & friends. Fingers crossed
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
