POE Review: Miami
Event Description
Entry Date : 2007-04-22
Embassy Review : I cant believe i was so worried about the whole POE experience and things went by so smoothly. We arrived to the Miami airport, thanks God it was empty, my husband was with me and we gave my envelope to the officer, he was new and didnt know how to deal with it, he told me to go to a room and told me that my husband could come with me if i wanted to. There, we waited and waited impatiently to be called and while we were there i saw that an officer was approaching us and i thought OMG, it turns out that he was a former classmate of my husband's and they talked for a while, catching up. Then, when they called me for the picture, the officer was very funny and was telling the officer who was taking the picture: "she's here on K1 visa! can you believe she will be getting married soon? omg, and her fiance is sitting there waiting for her, they've been kissing and kissing since they got here! they just cant wait!!!" i laughed and said "i'm sorry you had to see that..." we both laughed and the guy said "congratulations, and dont forget that you must get married within 90 days from your entrance. Welcome to Miami, I hope you like it here". And that was it, we couldnt expect less from God, He's always been our light and i'm so thankful because our whole visa process has gone by smoothly.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
