The total interview process took around 4 hours but my fiance just was asked a few questions about our love history and my travels to our birth country. Everything was smooth and the CO never asked for our I-134.
In the second interview my fiancé was asked to submit additional documentation showing past overstay. After that, he was 45 days on AP and then they called him to send his passport to get the visa stamped. |

1. Our interview was scheduled for April 15, 2020.
2. The interview was canceled due to the pandemic on March 29, 2020.
3. Our case was back to "READY FOR AN INTERVIEW" on April 1, 2020.
4. It's September 4, 2020, and the Philadelphia Office seems like they are still 'no working'.
5. We contacted our US Senator and US Congresswoman on November 4, 2020, to submit an inquiry on our behalf to USCIS about our interview to be rescheduled.
6. US Senator's office contacted USCIS on November 5 about our case and a new date for our interview.
7. Our US Senator's office contacted us on November 12 about our new rescheduled interview. The new date will be December 15, 2020.
8. We got our interview letter in the mail with the new date on it. No changes in the USCIS webpage.
9. When we had our interview, we were separated and the IO asked us a lot of questions. Surely, she thought that our marriage was fraudulent since we haven't much time married. I'm not sure, but she was surprised and congratulated us because all our responses were similar and honest. Since our marriage is real and we're more than happy with our relationship, we didn't have anything to hide from the USCIS.
10. Then, 4 days after the interview, we were required to submit additional evidence about an arrest that my spouse had 11 years ago. We were frustrated because we submitted those documents, but the officer needed more "court" evidence about the disposition of the case.
11. Therefore, we contacted immediately the Courthouse where those documents were recorded. Sadly, the courthouse replied to us that the process would take around 6 months to a year due to the Covid. We were really discouraged because of this. So, we had to hire a private lawyer to help us expedite the court process. (An unexpecting expense)
12. Due to our excellent lawyer's job, we got the documents in two months, and immediately we sent the court paperwork back to USCIS on March 7, 2021.
13. Since that day, we hadn't heard anything back from USCIS, neither its webpage was updated with the documentation received. But, for God's mercy, we got an update in our case on May 4, 2021. Our case was finally approved and the new PR card had been produced.
14. Finally, we got the new card in the mail on May 10, 2021.
Good luck to y'all. |

1. USCIS received our case on February 3, 2023.
2. NOA 1 hit our home on February 9, 2023.
3. Our case was updated to "Fingerprints Were Taken" on February 14, 2023. This means that USCIS used the last biometrics taken in 2019 and waived us on bringing a new one.
4. On July 23, a day after Kleber's Citizenship Interview approval, USCIS transferred the case from the Nebraska Service Center to the Philadelphia Office. Now it shows 'CASE TRANSFERRED AND NEW OFFICE HAS JURISDICTION"
5. On July 25, three days after Kleber's Citizenship Interview approval, USCIS approved his Lifting Conditions, but they stated they wouldn't issue a new PRC since he'll become a US Citizen. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
