As of today, April 24, 2018, We are on hold and have been on hold for 7 months now. Francisca is having some family issues and she has decided to wait to go to Rio for her final interviews. I am not sure when we can continue and at this stage, not sure what will happen.
UPDATE January 20, 2019: I would like this to be a lesson for all who are going through the K1 Visa process. DO NOT TAKE TOO LONG FOR YOUR FIANCE TO GO TO HER/HIS INTERVIEW! My fiance Francisca did not go to her visa appointment or even make her medical appointment within the 4 month (?) time period when her visa papers were approved here in the US, and then sent to the Rio Embassy in Brazil.
The result? I HAVE TO START IT ALL OVER AGAIN. So this is what is happening now with our case. We are starting over. Will let all know how this time goes. I already told her that there will not be a third time. |
