Embassy Review : I got to the embassy about 7.50 am (I had my interview at 8.30am) and there were already a long queue outside. I went to the tent and showed my interview confirmation letter and they let me through the security right away without queening.

I got my number. The embassy does not really open until 8.0 am so they didn't really calling up numbers until that time. I had maybe waited 15 mins and was called in.

I went to the window and really nice gentleman greeted me. That made me feel a little bit better/less stressed. He confirm my address and asked for the phone number. He asked me if I signed up with career services and he got me confused and I said now. Then, I understood that he meant if I pay for my visa/delivery and he asked for the payment confirmation. He also mentioned, that it will take about 10 days for my visa to come. After that he asked about my departure date and he put ASAP on the form. He asked for my passport (I also gave him the older passport with valid tourist visa). Then he asked for my birth certificate, police records, 1 photo (I got this back), i-134 (I handed one for my fiance and one for my fiance's dad) then he asked for supporting evidence. I handed in letter from employer, pay stubs and income return forms. He asked me to go back to waiting room and wait until they call me back with the same number.

I was waiting about 40 mins to be called back. The nice lady appeared in the window and she gave me the smile so again it made me relaxed. She started looking over all the paperwork. She asked me to tell her about our relationship, then wedding plans. She asked who is Mark which is my fiancé dad's and how much my fiancée earns this year. She gave me back all the documents that I have submitted. Then while looking through original petition she asked couple questions about my fiancé who was adopted, then she came back asking me why did I go to the USA in the first place again. After that she picked up the album with the photographs that was in her folder. She looked through all of it and you could tell she liked them. Then, she looked at them again and said: 'These are really beautiful pictures. It really looks like love from the first sight'. I gave her a smile and agreed.

Then she said that she is happy to announce that my visa is approved and I will get it in about 2 weeks1!

Happiness!! Overall really nice consulars, efficient and quick service! everything went great.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
