Embassy Review : Almost painless process!

I worked myself into a little ball of stress the day before -not at all helped by my flight being cancelled! My appointment was at 8, I got there at 7.40, there was already 20-30 people waiting. Went through 'airport security' they even made me leave my sunglasses at reception! Then they organised all my papers into a folder and sent me upstairs. It was a 10 minute wait to get called up - a nice lady just asked some questions about my fiance's address, phone number and minor organisational questions - no troubles. Then I sat down for 20 more minutes before getting called up for the proper interview - shaking like a leaf by this point, super nervous, wobbly voice, the whole lot ...But it was cruisy! A very friendly young man questioned me for all of 5 minutes (no joke) - where did we meet, how did the relationship progress, who was our cosigner - that was it! He stared intently into my eyes the whole time but despite that it was very relaxed. I think all the staff in the consulate must be morning people!

Door to door - just over an hour. Amazing. I bounced out of there with the biggest smile on my face
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
