Visa approved at interview. CEAC website turned to Administrative Processing on Oct 15. We missed a step specific to Vietnam in not logging onto ustraveldocs.com
in order to register to have the visa delivered. Turned to Issued on Oct 19.
Got Visa Oct 22. Son's K-2 only good for six-months not 1 year as listed on DOS website. Inquiring to see if we can get it changed so he can follow later and can finish school in Vietnam and join us in June 2016. Result of inquiry: Visas for both only as good as the medical is good which is 6 months from when you did it. So much for full disclosure. Son will come in March 2016 in the middle of the school year. |

Best entry to US to date. Had entered 4 other times on B1/B2 visas with much more questioning and hassles. Pulled out of line every time in both Chicago and Newark. |

Notified Biometrics not needed on 2016-01-14 after we did walk in. Notified on 2016-02-08 that new card is being produced for I-485 receipt number. No Interview, No Notice of Approval. Amazing from NOA1 to Delivered Green Card in 62 Days. Simply Amazing speed.
Why so fast? Maybe because extensive previous checks on both of us. Who knows? Applicant had B1/B2 Visa and Petitioner had Global Entry card. |

Interview pretty straightforward and were to questions off what you filed in the application. Be able to discuss and explain. Interview is looking at your reaction, confidence and command of english |

Entered the Consulate at 7:30. Usual routine of checking in and scanning appointment documents. Presented required documents and then waited for interview for K1 and K2 visa for son. Questions:
1) How did you meet?
2) Asked about divorces for both of us? Why? When?
3) How many times did I come to Vietnam?
4) Have you been to USA? How many times?
5) When did he propose? Did you have engagement party?
Asked her 11 year old son two questions. How many times did he meet me? What does he like about your future stepdad?
Took less than 3 hours. Some waiting but went faster than expected.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
