Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 30, 2015
Embassy Review : My fiance arrived at 6:20am and his interview was at 7am. There were many people in line in front of him and he had to wait a long time. However, once it was his turn the interview was maybe 5 minutes. He got done around 11:30am.

The questions that they asked:
Why did you choose her for you fiance?
Where and how did you meet?

The interviewer was very nice and seemed to make my fiance comfortable. The interviewer told him his English was very good asked where he learned (he has been studying and teaching himself)

*I had submitted many documents showing our relationship with the I-129F petition (pictures of us Skyping, pictures of us together, Facebook messages, my plane ticket itineraries and tickets, my passport stamps)

(updated on January 29, 2015)
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Miami
Event Description
Entry Date :
Embassy Review : The people that were helping my fiance were very kind and helpful.

However, he had a 3 hour layover and missed his flight due to immigration taking too long. So just a heads up that you may want to give yourself at least 3 hours to get through immigration and security. There were multiple other people that missed flights due to immigration. I have been through Miami immigration and it depends on how many flights land at the same time. Plan accordingly!

He said that he asked where to go and they directed him to a room and he handed them his packet and was asked to wait. He said they really didn't ask him any questions but he just had to wait awhile.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
