Had an interview on October1, 2015 for I-130 application. I was somewhat unprepared as I returned from a visit to Pakistan on Monday, September 28 to find the notice in my mailbox! They asked for original copies of things I had already submitted so I was madly trying to collect everything in 2 days. Then it turned out they didn't even ask for them. I got there half an hour early and interview was right on time. When they signed me in, I noticed my husband's name was also listed and she asked if anyone was with me. I said no. :/ Then the officer that called me in also asked if he was with me. Again, I said no. She reviewed our petition as if she hadn't seen it before. I can't confirm if she did or didn't but when she got to the part for his entry into the US and it was blank, she asked if he had ever been here and I said no, he's never left Pakistan. So that was a little weird. She asked for wedding photos and asked a few general questions then asked if I had any. I said I have this whole folder of stuff I thought you needed and gave it to her even though she didn't ask for it. She said they have up to 30 days to make a decision but it's usually sooner. As of today, I am still waiting! Overall staff were friendly and the experience was okay. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
